An organisation founded by students of BITS Pilani in 2005, it is a non-government and non-profit organisation committed to work towards a poverty-free, knowledge-powered and economically-empowered nation by focussing on providing education and livelihood opportunities for under-privileged people.  

The Swayam Shakti Centre at PARC came about to inculcate an entrepreneurial spirit among the rural women of Pilani by training them with professional stitching skills.  PARC along with the Nirman volunteers and Singer India have supported this initiative tremendously.
